The People

Chris hit the studio in the spring of 2011 with former band mate and producer Steven Murr  (Murrman Productions) and released his debut solo album “Sweet Destiny” on May 14, 2013.  As Jacqueline Ocana of Digin Magazine stated: "Chris Reed, is reinventing himself as a talented singer songwriter... his playful folksy-pop lyrics drip innocence like the soothing sound of ukulele.  But deeper in reveals a soulful songwriter, passionate about love and society.”  His biggest focus while recording was to make sure his songs were free to define him as a diverse artist. Though Aivar was classified as world music/reggae, Chris’ freshman record feels more like a Pop album sprinkled with a taste of folk with a hint of a cool reggae breeze blowing through.

Aaron Carnes of Metro Magazine wrote in it’s August 14th issue “Celebration” about how Reed “…takes his grab bag of styles and lays it with gorgeous harmonies and uplifting, hopeful lyrics... all while giving it a really laid back, beach-town Sublime feel…”             Sweet Destiny has lead Mr. Reed to be interviewed and printed in various publications and media outlets and was even invited to do a private audition for a major Network TV Show in early summer 2013.  He also did an on screen interview in the documentary “Scenes are Temporary, Movements are Forever”(yet to be released) which prompted Content Magazine to print his picture in their spring issue in association with the film. - See more at: http://www.chrisreedmusic.com/bio/#sthash.KvrAZzmB.dpuf
